This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We are committed to protecting the privacy of every student, counsellor, and institution that uses CareerGuide.
Account details (name, email, and where applicable school/organisation); profile and education information you provide; your conversations with the AI coach; and limited payment information processed by Razorpay (we receive confirmation and metadata such as method and last-4 digits — never your full card number).
To provide and personalise the service, build your career profile, process payments, provide support, ensure safety and security, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data.
If you use CareerGuide through a school or counsellor, they see an AI-generated career profile and aggregated analytics — never your raw chat messages. We share data with service providers (e.g. cloud hosting, our payment partner) only as needed to run the service, and as required by law.
CareerGuide is used by students who may be minors. Where required, use should be with the involvement or consent of a parent, guardian, or school. Parents/guardians may contact us to access or delete a child's information.
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data and retain it only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law. No method of transmission is 100% secure.
You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and withdraw consent, by contacting support@careerguide.com.
